When my son was about nine years old, he became our Civil War company’s drummer boy. In 2012, while at a Civil War event at Ridley Creek State Park in Pennsylvania, we had our son’s picture taken by a wet plate photographer.
While he was waiting for his turn to have his image struck, a friend from our unit who is an artist asked if he could take a picture of him for a painting.

I would love to know which patterns you used for your son’s clothes!

Hello there! When my son was little, I used patterns by Elizabeth Stewart Clark of thesewingacademy.com, as he grew, I transitioned the Period Impressions patterns for boys/men. Hope this helps and good luck with your projects!
